Once upon a time, not too long ago, phones were strictly for calling, sending instant text was just not an option. Snail mail, phone calls, and actual face-to-face human interaction were the primary modes of communication. While all 3 modes are still available, the mobile phones in 91% of American adults’ pockets give them even more choices: phone calls, texts, social networks, and emails. Which generation a person belongs to, as well as his/her personality largely dictates which one is preferred.
